How to draw a bubble letter Q
Tip for Q: An O with a short, fat tail that overlaps the bottom right edge.
- Write a plain Q lightly in pencil. Leave a finger-width gap around it, because bubble letters grow.
- Draw a rounded outline around the pencil lines. Keep the same distance all the way round and turn every corner into a curve.
- Make the holes small and round. Tiny counters (the insides of A, B, O, P) make letters look puffed up.
- Erase the pencil and ink the outline with a black marker. Overlap neighbouring letters slightly for a chunky look.
- Add a 3D shadow and a shine. Thicken the bottom-right edge, then leave a small white highlight near the top-left.
